AstheSeniorEnvironmentalJusticeCoordinatorattheNationalWildlifeFederation,Ihaveengagedwithalargenumberofenvironmentaljusticecommunitiesthroughour(currentlypaused)ThrivingCommunitiesTechnicalAssistanceGrant(TCTAC).Aswithmostadvocates,Ibelievethattherealworkbeginsathomeandistheningrainedintoourwork.Assuch,IhavebeenworkingforfiveyearswithcommunitiesinCalifornia,whereIgrewupandcurrentlylive,mainlyfocusingonsocialjusticeissues.Thelastfiveyears,wehaveseenmanyvictories,butwearealsowitnessingongoingadvocacyforthesameissuesyearafteryear.Oxnardisoneexampleofthemanycitiesthatarelabeledassacrificezones,wherepollutantsaredisproportionatelyimpactinglow-incomecommunitiesandcommunities
