A woman found a tiny calico kitten huddled under a balcony in her neighborhood with no mother in sight.
The finder took her home and tried to bottle-feed her but to no avail. “A neonatal kitten without a mother needs round-the-clock feeding and warmth to ensure healthy development,” Chatons Orphelins Montreal shared.
“The finder reached out to us for help with the calico, and we immediately accepted her into our care.”

At three weeks old, the kitten, Kicklie, arrived at the rescue with her paws cold to the touch. “We quickly warmed her up before giving her a bottle.”
Despite some stomach troubles, the kitten remained in good spirits. After filling her belly, she nestled into a bundle of soft blankets and held her foster mom’s hand as she drifted off to sleep.
