They took in a cat and two kittens but soon realized the cat had brought along a few unexpected little ones.

About two months ago, Best Friends Felines (a volunteer-run rescue) was contacted about a young mother cat and two kittens who were in need of placement.
Found at the height of the storm, they were relieved to have a roof over their heads and food in their bellies. The finders brought the feline family to a veterinary clinic, determined to get them the care they needed to thrive.
“The emergency center reached out for our assistance, knowing we never leave a family member behind,” Best Friends Felines shared.

When the trio arrived at the rescue, they were whisked to their foster home with Becc, a volunteer, who would ensure all their needs were met. “The kittens are well and truly settled into Becc’s home. Eva (the mother cat) has been gaining some decent weight despite still occasionally feeding her big babies.”
“But we had an inkling that something just wasn’t right.”
